Volka! Hamsters

Yeap, i don’t know why he likes to close his eyes when he eats.

He looks so eager to eat them up! I guess he likes ear wax. Very cute thou.

I washed Volka’s cage today, then i place him back inside. However, i made some changes to his cage, i convert his bath house into the toilet, than add another bath house.

There are two different with the sand. For the toilet, i added rougher sand, for the bath house, i have smooth sand. That is how i “convert” the place.

Volka reconize his bath house, he then proceed to roll on it. I saw the whole thing. As soon as his back landed on the sand he immediately jump out of the bath house! Guess he had a shock because it feels rougher.

After that, I probable call it Pets “Lovers” Center. And this is the last time i am buying anything over there.

When I went there to buy a cage for volka, they tried to over sell me things that i deem not necessary, like some processed things to make a hamster feel comfortable when they just moved home. Also, they introduced to me the most expensive things over there, which makes it worse since their things are usually over-priced by a least 20%.

Then i brought a card which is allowed for discount if i buy things for more than %15, i get a 5% discount. Cool! which makes things 15% expensive, better than the 20%.

I lost the card and just like that, they make it sound like my membership has already void. Wow! i have to make a replacement card for $2, and i say the card was like some name card material.

Their service is “good”(if you like them following you around, smiling, then fish out most of your cash), but they are overselling. I feel that all these smiling and following you around is unnecessary. What i need is reliable information. not information that let them earn money.

Take notice of this, you will never hear then saying, “hey i think you should leave your hamster in the cage for 1 week, so it gets familiar with the surroundings.”

Rather i get this often, “hey buy this, it lets your hamster get used to the surroundings”.

Yeap, Pet “lovers” center. they make my hamster shopping. “WORSE”. Makes me feel like some insurance company. I am not buying a single thing from there anymore.

They aren’t one of the fastest type of hamsters as pets ;P

I played with 2 of them and i say the 2nd one, by abowman was more realistic and more fun. They are great relaxing interactive game when Volka is cranky or sleeping(no one tells Volka about this, he’ll ignore me for the whole day).

The little hamsters react to your mouse, plays on the wheels and drinks. You can make it comes towards you by clicking any where on the screen then point it at his mouth. You can also place a line of food on the floor so he would follow your trail and eat it up.

If you ignore it for a while, it goes to sleep. It has many sleeping poses!

This application is great for those without hamsters or those in training. It is also good for office since no one can bring a hamster there. Hamster are such great therapist. ;D

To install it on iGoogle, just click on “add new stuff” on the right top side of your screen. search for “hamster” and you should see a list of hamster application. Click on the one with the word “abowman”. you can try out other applications.
